Deburring and Sanding
At our facility, we understand that laser-cut parts often come with a pesky burr on the backside if they are cut on compressed air or nitrogen. This burr can be sharp and hinder proper adhesion of paint or powder coat. To tackle this issue, the parts are sent though our custom 53" wide belt deburring machine. The process begins with a sanding belt that knocks down the burr, then a series of 8 rotary drums round the edges. The final stage as the parts exit the machine, they once again travel through a sanding belt before exiting with a #3 brushed polished finish, ready for forming or powder coating.
